The shelter has room for twenty women and their children, divided between fifteen family rooms and five single rooms. The rooms are situated on five floors and are of different sizes. All the family rooms are located on the first three floors. The five single rooms are on the fourth floor. The shelter is a non smoking facility, but there is a smoke free cabin in the basement.

The common rooms

The common rooms are kept in neutral shades and are furnished with soft furniture and colourful artwork. We have attempted to create cozy common rooms, where you can chat to and relax with the other residents. All common rooms have a children’s corner with toys and children’s furniture.

Kitchens and bathrooms

There is a toilet and shared bathroom with washer and dryer on all floors. Also, each floor has a shared kitchen with all necessary amenities og kitchen equipment. The kitchens are equipped with dishwasher, oven, microwave oven, kettle etc. Each resident has access to a private refrigerator and freezer, which are located close to the kitchen.

The rooms

Since the building is a former school of art and design all the rooms have great lighting, which makes them bright and inviting. All the rooms are kept in the same decor, though they have different furniture due to the varying sizes. All rooms have a sofabed, dining table with chairs, a closet and/or dresser. The large family rooms have bunk beds for the children. It is possible to borrow a high chair, crib and other baby supplies if needed.
